My attention is split right now. I'm typing this post, while watching the comments in one of my WhatsApp groups popping in.

It’s a WhatsApp group of our entire street. A neighbors-only-WhatsApp group.

It goes like this:

Number 10 is saying:  "Good morning. Will the "blue trash cans" get emptied today? So many are standing outside. But the waste removal calendar says paper waste is only next week?!"

32: "Oh! I haven't checked. Just put mine to the others."

43: "Thanks! I'll push the trash can back inside!"

10: "I got confused and thought I've missed something that's why I took mine out."

9: "... for safer side I put mine out, too."

40: "Was too lazy to check the calendar!"

24:  - - - (that's me) I haven't replied in WhatsApp, because I'm not good at multitasking. Since I'm writing this post now.

Look, I'll be honest. I almost never check the waste calendar. If I see others do, I'll roll out ours.

Unfortunately, they make mistakes and you with them

Is that nuts?

Sure.

But so is writing a company introduction like anyone else so that no buyer pays attention.

Or not align with customers and then trying to sell something.

... being infrequent in your follow-up that buyers forget who you are.

Even the best TV spots, which are always selling, use personality to build resonance and a rapport with you.

Want to approach buyers that get a windfall of yesyesyes and fill the factory?

It’s time to infuse your approach with the missing ingredient: YOU.

What your buyers really want isn’t a picture perfect: We-always-deliver-on time-kind of thing.

They don’t even really want your great prices.

(Honestly, they can likely place their orders somewhere else.)

What they really want is YOU!

This story has a happy ending. Our trash can isn't outside yet and now I'm the shining star in my neighborhood.

Yes, next time will check the calendar.

All my best, talk soon,

Heike
